Governance Charter
How the Quiet AI Standard is governed, kept independent, and held accountable.
Mission and independence
Quiet AI™ is an independent private standards body. Reviews are produced by a diagnostic engine and issued under the Quiet AI Standards Committee. A result is determined by the evidence, never by the commercial relationship with the organization under review.
The Standard and its versioning
The Quiet AI Standard is maintained under version control, currently version 3.1. Changes to criteria and scoring are documented so that results remain interpretable over time.
Conflict of interest
Fees pay for the depth of a review, never for a particular score or outcome. We do not offer to raise a result in exchange for payment, and the review tier a client purchases is independent of the score they receive.
Issuance, suspension, and revocation
A result is issued only on the basis of the recorded evidence. It may be suspended or revoked if it was based on materially inaccurate information, or if circumstances change so that the recorded result no longer holds. Suspension removes any public verification record.
Appeals and disputes
An organization may request reconsideration of its result by writing to us with the basis for the appeal. We review the evidence and respond. An appeal does not limit any other remedy available to you, and any dispute is handled under our Terms of Service.
Anonymity and institutional accountability
Results carry institutional signatures, the Quiet AI Standards Committee and the Office of the Lead Reviewer, rather than an individual name. Accountability for the standard and its results rests with the institution.
